iHerb Canadian customers:
You may be aware of the change in shipping options. Airmail Premium and Airmail have been replaced with Globalmail Plus by DHL and Globalmail by DHL.I have contacted the iHerb Customer Service Dept for more info. Key points are listed below:
“...Global Mail is picked up from our facility by DHL. It will be delivered to your customs agency and once cleared handed over to your local postal service.
...Global Mail will have some limited tracking available, and Global Mail Plus will have full tracking abilities. Also, it will now be available to purchase up to $100 instead of $80, and the limit for the Global Mail Plus on weight will be raised to 10 pounds.
...the broker fee would be charged by your local post and not by DHL, so that cost if applied should not have changed.
...the costs of the Global Mail are determined by weight at this time."
Depending on what products are in your order, the cost of Global Mail could be higher than Global Mail Plus. So just make sure you try different options and determine what is the best method for your particular order.
In case you are charged by Canada Post with processing fees and duties/taxes, it's still reasonable. Canada Post may collect $5 for processing fees if they decide to collect duties and taxes on your package, but they don't always do. Many Canadian iHerb shoppers shared that as long as you keep the order valued below US$20 (some say below US$40), there is a good chance you don't have to pay the processing fees and duties/taxes.
